Description: The Cadmus Group is a dynamic, innovative consulting firm looking for experienced renewable energy technical professionals to join our industry-leading Renewable Energy Team. Cadmus assists a wide variety of clients, from municipalities to major electric and gas utilities in assessing renewable energy projects, conducting feasibility and potential studies, evaluating incentive programs, conducting project due diligence, and providing other relevant technical expertise on a variety of renewable energy technologies.

We are seeking a motivated mid-level renewable energy consultant to support our growing renewable energy and energy resilience practice areas. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical, business development, and project management skills-as well as a willingness to tackle new challenges and work collectively with a broad team of analysts, engineers, and consultants.

Responsibilities: This job will entail the following general activities:

  • Perform analyses of renewable energy system performance and installation quality.
  • Review economics, and policies for a variety of stakeholder audiences and help establish and implement policies
  • Exercise substantial latitude in developing renewable energy and energy resiliency business areas
  • Support a variety of government, utility, municipal, and private clients in assessing project viability, evaluating incentive programs, and deploying innovative new technologies
  • Accept responsibility for a variety of projects and staff

Qualifications: At a minimum, candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:

  • 5 years of experience in renewable energy consulting or a directly related field
  • Demonstrated experience in business development/sales in a consulting environment
  • Substantial knowledge of renewable energy industry and at least one major renewable energy technology (e.g., solar photovoltaics, solar thermal, wind)
  • Experience managing consulting or similar projects, including on-time and on-budget delivery of reports and other products
  • Excellent understanding of data analysis using spreadsheets, databases, and simulation software
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or other technical, and relevant, field

Preferred

Candidates with the following experience and expertise are preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification in at least one state
  • NABCEP and/or other energy related certifications
  • Close contact and good reputation with clients previously served in a consulting role that could serve for business development
  • Experience with medium to large-scale commercial PV and wind, such as permitting, interconnection, and financial modeling
  • Advanced degrees/training in renewable energy technology and applications
  • Experience in energy resiliency and storage applications such as emergency power, frequency regulation, battery technologies, and arbitrage
  • Knowledge of solar-related policy and economic considerations
